The Touchstone Summer Camp focuses on community, play, eco-literacy, and joyful learning. Through hands-on activities and play, campers learn new skills and create friendships. Academic skills are incorporated in engaging and exploratory ways. Touchstone Summer Camp reflects and extends the values of Touchstone Community School throughout the summer.

Campers can be signed up for individual week sessions to meet family needs.
Session 1: June 25 – June 29
Session 2: July 2 – July 6 (No camp on Tuesday, July 4th)
Session 3:  July 9 – July 13
Session 4:  July 16 – July 20
Session 5:  July 23 – July 27

Times and Ages

STEAM and Theater Campers may also sign up for the AM half day program.

Extended Day

Campers can be signed up for AM and/or PM Extended Day as needed.
AM: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
PM: Choose from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.


Groups are tailored to the ages of campers and will generally be:
Threes, Fours & Fives: Half & Full Day
Sixes, Sevens, Eights & Nines: Full Day

Theater – KidStage: Scripted Play with Matt Mariner

Star in a scripted theatre production and learn about behind the scenes production   jobs. This program aims to instill a fun collaborative experience of performing, and culminates in a production on the Friday of each session.

STEAM: with Sharon Borg, Head Teacher, Touchstone

Join this group and have fun exploring, building and creating projects, using Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics.


This program is offered to Touchstone OSP students who have registered for the morning half-day program. These campers may also register for the Theater and STEAM Programs. The CIT camper will be a good role model for younger campers, will attend short training sessions, and will develop leadership skills during their work with Lead Counselors by assisting with programs, learning how to run recreational activities and interacting positively with other teens, adults and younger campers.

Family Discount: All families signing up for two or more children from the same family receive a 5% discount on their total due.

Touchstone Enrolled Student Discount: All current and enrolled TCS families receive a 10% discount on their total amount due. This discount cannot be combined with the sibling discount.

Additional Information

At Touchstone Summer Camp, safety is our primary focus. Our staff participates in extensive training in preparation for their work with campers. Low camper-to-counselor ratios ensure quality supervision at all times.

All lead staff are First Aid and CPR/AED trained.

We are a NUT-FREE camp. The ingredient list of all pre-packaged foods must be checked to ensure that they are nut-free.

All campers are required to bring morning snack, lunch, a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray each day. Campers staying for afternoon extended day should bring an afternoon snack.

A deposit of $100-00 per camper is due at time of registration.

At the end of each week, we will send the families a weekly camp newsletter with pictures and stories, summarizing that week’s activities and experiences.

Children must be toilet trained by the start of camp.

TCS does not provide transportation to or from camp.

TCS complies with the regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (105 CMR 430.000) and is licensed by the Town of Grafton Board of Health.

How to Register

When you register, you will pay a $100 deposit fee by credit card. There is a 4% processing fee for all credit card payments.

Applications are processed as they are received on a first come/first served basis and should be returned to the office as soon as possible. Your application cannot be processed without all information. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive our welcome packet confirming your registration with additional forms to complete. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Full payment is due by May 31, 2016. Any applicant whose balance is unpaid after May 31 cannot be guaranteed a place in the program.

REFUND INFORMATION: TCS is not obligated to refund tuition for any applicant or participant who withdraws for any reason, including illness and injury. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. No refund or reduction in fees is possible for a child who arrives late, leaves early, or attends only part of a session.

Grow plants and harvest from our greenhouse and campus-wide gardens.

Coop Class
Care for our community chickens by feeding them, gathering their eggs, and giving them lots of love.

Cooking & Baking
Make fresh and healthy foods with produce from our community gardens and local farms.

Fun with Math
Practice developmentally appropriate math skills through hands-on experiences and games.

Arts & Crafts
Create beautiful artwork and practice traditional crafting techniques, such as weaving and papermaking, exploring artistic expression both indoors and outdoors.

Connecting a child’s real-life experience to science concepts and theories using a hands-on and creative approach.

Water Play
Weather permitting, this daily activity explores fun with water by creating natural waterways, playing water games and building water flow construction using a variety of materials.

Backyard Games
Play a variety of  indoor and outdoor field and circle games.

Discover your ability to master the bow and arrow through target shooting.

Construction Zone
Create, destroy, imagine, and solve problems with Legos, forts, and blocks.
