Campus Master Plan

We are seeking input from all members of the TCS community as we develop a Campus Master Plan to assess existing facilities and identify wishes and desires for the facilities and land uses that complement and enhance the principles and mission of our school. We recently met with faculty, staff and board of trustees to solicit their input. Teachers are in the process of having conversations with their classes to obtain student input. Students will again be able to share their thoughts at the Community Meeting on January 20th.

We now want to hear from you. Please join us at one of two upcoming forums that are scheduled for Thursday, January 26th at 7:00pm and Friday, January 27th at 9:15am and will be held in the TCS Common Room (snow dates are Tuesday, January 31st at 7:00pm and Monday January 30th at 8:45am). Childcare will be available for the evening forum. Please let us know that you are coming by signing up here (though it would be helpful for planning purposes no RSVP is required).

In addition to the forum, we would like to receive your written feedback.  Please answer this online questionnaire which asks you to comment on the indoor and outdoor physical environment of the school.

Please review the linked documents to better understand the process we are undertaking. There is a plan of existing site conditions and an aerial photograph of our 9-acre school campus. The timeline of major Touchstone Milestones shows us how our campus has changed since moving here in 1990. It is exciting to see where we have come from and even more exciting to ponder where we will be in 20 years. The planning efforts begin now!

With your input, we will develop a Campus Master Plan that will include a visionary land-use and facilities plan that provides a framework for future development consistent with the mission of the school. This plan will account for classroom and functional area space needs, program needs and aspirations for optimal educational and community uses. Finally, this plan will provide a timeline to implement the priorities identified by the community along with a budget-level estimate of probable cost of design, permitting and construction for each project.
